ET Women Conclave 2023, an initiative by OMS – A Times Group Company, was held on April 9, 2023, where women leaders from diverse industries and backgrounds convened to tackle the most pressing issues affecting modern women. The event that happened at Grand Hyatt, Gurgaon, proved to be a remarkable success, providing an impeccable platform for women to celebrate the strides they have made and explore ways to increase their representation in the industry and management sectors.
ET Women Conclave 2023, powered by Senco Gold and Diamonds, in association with She Capital and Womennovator, began with the first panel discussion, titled ‘Creating the change – overcoming internal barriers and shattering the glass ceiling,’ moderated by Pooja Jain from ET Now. The panel featured Anshita Mehrotra, Founder and CEO – Fix My Curls; Tripti Shinghal Somani, Founder – Womennovator; and Dr Nalini Saligram, Founder and CEO – Arogya World, An Ashoka Fellow. They discussed various internal barriers that women face while trying to achieve success in their respective fields and how they can overcome them.
Speaking at the event, Anisha Singh, Founder of She Capital, said, “I didn’t want to be ever known as a successful ‘female’ founder, I only wanted to be known as just a successful founder. Another panel discussion was focused on the topic of women and finance. The discussion revolved around the need for more women to step up and take on larger roles in their company’s finances. The panel which was moderated by Pooja Jain from ET Now featured three esteemed women leaders: Dr Teena Sharma, Founder and President of Pink and Blue Foundation, and Dr Deepti Taneja, a faculty member at University of Delhi who shared their experiences and insights on how women can overcome their fear of finance and take control of their financial future.
The event also featured an enlightening session with Dr Payal Kanodia, Chairperson and Trustee M3M Foundation, Promotor M3M Group, along with captivating Monologue Sessions by Aishwarya Bansal, Co-Founder – Smart World Developers and a session between Dr Somdutta Singh, Founder and CEO – Assiduus Global with Charu Sharma, a renowned TV presenter & and commentator. The audience was treated to a thought-provoking conversation between Gaur Gopal Das, an Indian Monk, lifestyle coach, motivational speaker and author, and Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Minority Affairs. In addition, Vidya Balan, Padma Shri Awardee and an acclaimed Indian actor, joined Joita Sen, Director of Senco Gold and Diamonds, for an engaging discussion moderated by Amita Wadhwa from ETNow. The sessions provided valuable insights and guidance on topics such as philanthropy, women’s leadership, and personal growth.
Speaking on her session, Dr Payal Kanodia added, ‘As for women, they were and are empowered. We just need to make them realise their potential. Help them ignite their passion and give wings to their dreams.’ This vision of empowerment demands joint effort from the government authorities and the private sector. Both have to collectively play their role if we aim for a society that is a change-maker in itself. She concluded by saying, ‘Empowered women make an empowered nation.’ And Aishwarya Bansal said, “We have a billion dollar vision of spreading a million dollar smiles in this trillion dollar economy”.
The event brought together a formidable group of influencers and opinion makers from all walks of life, who came together to debate and deliberate the most critical issues faced by the modern woman. These discussions were marked by an impressive level of candour and honesty, with entrepreneurs and speakers from various industries acknowledging the significant strides that women have made in today’s world.

The recipients of these Awards are the epitome of excellence, serving as icons and game-changers in their fields. The selection process has been conducted by Avance Insights Pvt., an independent market research agency, which has employed a rigorous methodology to arrive at the given results.

ET Inspiring Women Leaders 2023 is a platform for women who have dared to take the road less travelled and who dared to step out of their comfort zones. The key official from French automobile major Citroen, part of the Stellantis Group, says that they have had an exciting journey in India since the brand launch in 2019. The group operates 2 factories in India – one for vehicle assembly in Thiruvallur and the other for powertrain manufacturing in Hosur. Citroen launched its 1st flagship vehicle, the C5 Aircross, to showcase the brand’s comfort DNA. Soon after, the brand entered the mainstream segment with the made-in-India C3 hatchback. Research Methodology
The objective of this research was to arrive at ET Inspiring Leaders Women 2023 in their respective categories. The survey had these modules, i.e., Desk Secondary Research, Approach for sharing fact file, and Factual survey (Participatory Survey) to arrive at the analysis and identify the final results of top inspiring leaders in different categories.
A comprehensive list of top inspiring leaders, business entities, brand leaders and performers was generated with the help of the internet, magazines and other publications.
More than 300 top inspiring leaders and business entities were sent the factual data questionnaire and then rigorously followed up through telephone, email and personal visits.
The study was conducted for 8 weeks, starting from the 2nd week of January 2023. The final score for each entity was weighted to an average Factual Score. Based on the final score, results were drawn in respective categories.
Some Caveats/Assumptions:
• Best efforts were made to reach the maximum top inspiring personalities, business entities and brand leaders in the respective categories; Any entity which expressly stated that it did not wish to participate in the survey was excluded from the survey.
• If the nomination for any specific category was not received, those categories were dropped, and categories with single nominations were given unanimously.
• Only those business entities were considered who have submitted their participatory factual sheet
