ICC Women’s Player Of The Month For December 2025 Revealed
Laura Wolvaardt bags the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for December 2025 after her white-ball exploits against Ireland.
South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt has been named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for December 2025 after starring in the team’s series victories over Ireland in the T20I and ODI formats.
This is the South African’s second Player of the Month award having bagged the prize earlier in October 2025.
“I’m delighted to be named the ICC Player of the Month once again. To win it two times in three months is very special and something I’ll cherish for a long time. I loved batting throughout Ireland’s tour of South Africa, and it was hugely rewarding to contribute with runs across both the ODI and T20I formats,” the South African said.
“With the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on the horizon, my focus is firmly on carrying this momentum forward. We’ve shown real progress in recent ICC events, and I’m excited about the summer ahead in England and Wales. I hope to continue playing my part and help take the team all the way,” she added
The 26-year-old opening batter had been in sensational form during the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 and continued her run in December.
Wolvaardt smashed 115 off 65 deliveries in the first T20I against Ireland, a knock that consisted of 15 boundaries and five sixes to give the Proteas a winning start to the series that they went on to win 2-0.
She then carried that form to the ODIs recording two more centuries, scoring 124 in 111 deliveries in the second ODI, smashing 19 boundaries before following up with an unbeaten knock of 100 in the third match as South Africa cruised to a 3-0 series victory.
Wolvaardt amassed 392 runs across formats in December that saw her edge out teammate Sune Luus, who impressed with her all-round performance scoring 323 runs and picking up eight wickets across formats, in the month and November winner Shafali Verma who scored 241 runs in five T20I games for India.
