Want to stay in and watch what’s new? Me too. I used to get excited to get dressed up and stay out late, but I won’t lie to you: Those days are over. Instead, watching what is new on streaming is my idea of a good time. Heck, I mark release dates in my calendar sometimes. What can I say? I love being a homebody.
With all of the streaming services out now, it can be hard to keep up with what to watch and where to watch it, but this month, the lineups are so good that you’re going to want to make sure that you have access to all of the platforms (or at least your friend’s passwords to some). These shows and movies are about to be the topic of conversation in The Everygirl’s #watercooler slack channel, and I’ll be damned if I miss out on that.

Netflix
The Weekend Away

Release date: March 3
A weekend getaway in Croatia goes horribly wrong when one of the girls goes missing. Beth, the main character in this thriller movie played by Leighton Meester, races to put together what happened, but every clue seems to lead back to her as the suspect. If you read the bestselling book by Sarah Alderson, you’re going to want to catch this movie adaptation so you can compare them!
Pieces of Her, Season 1

Release Date: March 4
If you read the bestselling novel Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter, this is a series you have to watch. Based on the book, this new thriller series unravels a young woman’s view of her mother after a random act of violence catches her by surprise. What follows is her journey across America in search of answers about her family.
Windfall

Release Date: March 18
This thriller follows a young couple (played by Lily Collins and Jason Segel) who leave for a last-minute getaway just to arrive at their vacation home that is being robbed. If the thought of your home being robbed makes you queasy, you might want to watch this with the doors locked and the lights on, but we gladly welcome anything starring Lily Collins on Netflix after binging Emily in Paris.
Bridgerton, Season 2

I’ll say what everyone is thinking: finally! Bridgerton is back this month, and we are hoping this season is just as steamy and addicting as the first. This season will move on from Daphne and Simon’s love story and turn the focus to Anthony Bridgerton’s enemies-to-lovers storyline with new female lead Kate Sharma. We welcome the drama and can’t wait to hear what Lady Whistledown will have to say about what is going on around London.

“Dear…”, Season 2

There are a lot of familiar faces coming to season 2 of “Dear…” including Jane Fonda, Viola Davis, and Malala Yousafzai. If you didn’t catch season one, each episode profiles an iconic figure by using letters written by the people who have been inspired by them. Each one will have you smiling and reaching for a box of tissues at the same time.
WeCrashed, Limited Series
Where to Watch: Apple TV
Release Date: March 18
Inspired by real events, this limited series stars Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto and is about a coworking space that grew into a $47 billion company in under a decade and then completely plummeted in less than a year. Tune in to the first three episodes on the release date and new episodes each Friday following that to find out how it all happened.
Hulu
The Dropout, Season 1

The Dropout starring Amanda Seyfried follows the story of Elizabeth Holmes as the founder and CEO of Theranos. Based on the true story of the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, each episode follows Holmes as she finds herself facing criminal charges and up to 20 years in jail for fraud.
Life & Beth, Season 1
Where to Watch: Hulu
Release Date: March 18
Amy Schumer wrote, directed, and executive produced Life & Beth, so we already know this show is going to be one of our favorites this month. As a wine distributor with a not-so-great boyfriend, Beth is ready for a fresh start, but she won’t be able to find that without reliving her past at the same time.
Disney+
West Side Story
Where to Watch: Disney+, HBO Max
Release Date: March 2
This 2021 live-action and musical film is finally making its way to streaming. If you’re not familiar with the storyline, West Side Story is about young love between two rival street gangs in 1950s Upper West Side New York City. After the original premiere on Dec. 10, it received seven Oscar nominations, so if that doesn’t convince you to watch, I don’t know what will.
Cheaper By The Dozen
Where to Watch: Disney+
Release Date: March 18
Cheaper By The Dozen is back for a remake on Disney+ this month, but this time, the Bakers are navigating their new blended family of 12. The film stars Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff as the parents along with many new young talents among their 10 children. If we don’t get lost in their chaos and laughter, we will definitely be getting lost in the nostalgia of the 2003 version that starred Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt.
Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u (a Sour film)

If you were a fan of Taylor Swift’s Disney+ special (who wasn’t?), Olivia Rodrigo is releasing a similar film for her triple-platinum album Sour. It will feature behind-the-scenes footage of Rodrigo performing each song on the album in various locations as she road trips between Salt Lake City and Los Angeles.
HBO Max
Minx, Season 1

This comedy series is about a young feminist and a low-rent publisher who team up to create the first erotic magazine for women in 1970s Los Angeles. If ’70s fashion is your vibe and you adore Jake Johnson from New Girl just as much as we do, make sure you mark your calendar now.
Julia, Season 1

If you loved the wit and charm in the film Julie & Julia starring Meryl Streep, you will be excited to learn that more Julia Child goodness is on the way. Julia is a new comedy and drama series that will follow Julia Child’s time as the star of The French Chef in the ’60s and how she revolutionized cultural growth in America for women because of it.
