MUMBAI: The state government has declared a public holiday on Monday under the Negotiable Instruments Act to mourn the demise of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.
Banks in Maharashtra will not be operational on Monday. The RBI has rescheduled its monetary policy committee meeting to February 8-10, from the earlier dates of February 7-9.
The Bombay high court principal bench in Mumbai will also stay shut on Monday. It will instead remain open on a Saturday in future to compensate the loss of the working day.
